Finding Yourself Resistant Lately?

A big theme during sessions lately has been...RESISTANCE.

To feeling good. To stepping up. To doing the things that need to be done. To taking the high road. To making the "healthier" choice. To resting. To making the changes that need to be made. To stepping forward....the list can go on.

Why do we resist the things that we know we are meant to do? And resist the the things that add value, joy, and vitality to our lives?

Because of what is sitting underneath in the subconscious mind and body...and what is a "familiar" environment to us. We may not like what is familiar, but we have learned to trust it...therefore we maintain it.

We, as a human race, say we love and want change, but subconsciously we do not know if we will survive it. We do not know what is on the other end of it, and are not sure that we want to find out. So we stay where we are, doing what we're doing.

Underneath even that there is the question of whether we deserve to feel good, or are worthy of the good things in life...all while our life force deteriorates in this holding pattern...

If we look at the energy of what resistance really is, we can view it as version or form of fear.

What is the fear of? Failing? Or actual success because something good/fruitful might actually come from this choice. Maybe there's the fear of outgrowing people or situations. Maybe there's even the fear of death? And not actual death...more like death of a habit, addiction, pattern, or even relationship(s).

How does all of this affecting your body? What role does play in your health?

Resistance causes tension in our physical tissues as there is an internal "fight" happening. With that "fighting" tension present in our tissues, our blood flow is compromised. With blood flow compromised, our tissues do not get the nutrients and perfusion that it needs. Toxins remain in the area. And the health of the tissues/organs start to decline. The immune system is now compromised...inflammation kicks up...and enter pain/injury/sickness/disease.

Let's not forget the other side effects which include complaining, anger/resentment, drama, conflict, disempowerment, chaos, feeling like a victim, and various forms of sabotage.

Is it still tempting to be in resistance when it is spelled out like this?

If not, please give yourself a chance to break free and feel good. Unclench.
Let go. Allow yourself to try something different and allow things to flow through you differently.

It will most likely be far more rewarding than where you already are.

I know it's easier said than done, so please know that if you are in need support with releasing the fear or resistance in your body, I am here.

I am happy to be present with you and be a catalyst in your movement forward.
