Can You Embrace Confusion?

Recently, people have been contacting me letting me know that they are experiencing some version of dizziness, lightheadedness, and/or vertigo.

Yes, it is a change of seasons.  Allergies are present. There may be a side effect of medications, etc.

But that's not the full picture.  When tuning in to the underlying root of this symptom, I am noticing a version of confusion that people are grappling with.

These are not pleasant sensations...to say the least...but let's go back to the root of what's really happening within.

We were taught as a society that confusion is a "bad" thing.

There is an unsaid mandate or pressure around the word dictating "well...you MUST get clear right now!"

But what if it is an essential component/stage/phase of healing, growth, evolution, and transformation that we dismiss, or get angry with because we don't realize its' importance?

Just like acceptance is a required phase before change, what if confusion is a required stage before clarity?

The word confusion means "lack of understanding" or "uncertainty."...which captures the present state of the world in one word, and many of us along with it.

When broken into parts: "con" - comes from the latin word "cum" which means "together" or "with"
"fusion" - an occasion when two or more things join or are combined.

What if confusion is the "old" meeting the "new?"  The "familiar" meeting the "unfamiliar?"

As in...old beliefs, patterns, thoughts, perspectives, behaviors...UNTIL it is integrated within you.

What if confusion within you means you're "in process" of assimilating new information that is meeting the old, and it is sorting itself out?

Would you be able to look at it differently, and therefore feel differently about it (physically, mentally, and emotionally)?

What do you imagine the forcing and fighting actually does to the state of confusion?

Would you be able to give it the space it needs, and let go of the forcing and fighting?

Would you be able to stop endlessly living in and searching your mind, where the integration and clarity are not even located?

Do you trust that it will sort itself out? If you don't, can you? Are you willing to try this approach?

It may serve you largely and create peace/harmony/space within as it is not "giving up" or being defeated, but simply allowing a greater intelligence to take over.

Just remember that clarity will always come when all the pieces/information have come together...

How you arrive at it is ultimately up to you, but just remember that there are options.
